Lemon Rice (or Cilantro Lime Rice)
I’m always looking to add a little pizzazz to my side dish game. Here’s a simple way to do it: lemon rice or cilantro lime rice! Just a few simple ingredients take standard rice to the next level.
Simply stir in lemon juice and zest, fresh garlic, and a bit of parsley after cooking up a pot of rice, and it infuses a zingy, citrusy flavor that’s positively irresistible! Or to pair with tacos, add lime juice, zest, and cilantro.

Ingredients
1 cup dry white long grain rice
½ teaspoon kosher salt, divided
1 tablespoon salted butter
1 small garlic clove, finely minced (or ¼ teaspoon garlic powder)
1 lemon, zested and juiced OR 2 tablespoons lime juice + 1 teaspoon lime zest
1 tablespoon finely minced fresh parsley OR 1/4 cup finely chopped cilantro
